Pink Themed Quinceanera

As you already know, I love making things with my hands. I love doing baby showers, bridal showers and all kinds of parties and events, but one of my favorite events to decorate is the Mexican quinceanera. If you don't know what this event is, let me explain. In Mexican culture, the 15th birthday for females is very important. It marks her becoming a woman. A girl's parents throw a big party, something so important, you would probably compare the price of a girl's quinceanera to an American wedding. It's that big of a tradition in Mexican culture.

For this quinceanera, the girl requested a party with a pink theme. Pink is one of my favorite colors, so making this party become a reality was really satisfying and fun for me. I did my own daughter's quinceanera, and her theme was yellow. She wore a beautiful yellow dress and looked like "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast. I will post pictures of her party in the future. 

But for now, let me share with you some of the items I made for this quinceanera. It was so much fun creating such a colorful party!

This is a picture of a few of the centerpieces I made before I placed them on each table. The pink flowers dominate the bouquets, but the touches of yellow, peach and white make them more fun than if they were all pink bouquets.

I saved the most vibrant pink flowers for my "Wow" pieces, floor vases that stand tall on sit on the corners of the room and near the entrances.  Here's a couple of pictures of them in full view:

In the picture, you can't really get a real idea of just how large this vase is.  Here is a close up of the flowers:

I filled the water area with pink tinted water to match the girls' theme:

And I created smaller candle centerpieces to match the large table bouquets:

I also had tall glass candle holders amid an array of tossed yellow and pink flower petals and small tea candles. Pink colored water filled the small candle holders.

Baby Shower Candy Buffet Table

I did an event for my sister's baby shower. She is having a baby girl named Valeria. I started doing this business because all the people who attended my sister's shower loved the products and wanted me to do parties for them! They told me there isn't anything in the Seattle area like what I'm offering. I made a chocolate table full of lollipops and customized certain items to include the baby's name. I love making things with my hands and really enjoy the creative process.

 I think mom's deserve to have the work taken off their shoulders and be able to enjoy the event and have a stressfree memory of the event. I felt my role was important because many mom's don't really know how to organize a baby shower. And for me, it comes natural, and it's fun! This was my first table ever!
